Verified, always
BLAKE3 and SHA-256 content hashes identify every file. Ed25519-signed manifests catch corruption or tampering while bytes stream in.
Distributed model infrastructure
Every open model. Verified. From anywhere. Atlas downloads and preserves local model weights without trusting a single host.
The system
Atlas treats each source as a route, not a source of truth. A signed manifest describes the file, its content hash establishes its identity, and every verified source can contribute to the same download.
Hugging Face can be fast, a nearby peer can be faster, and a mirror can survive an outage. Atlas uses what is available while producing the same verified result.

Hugging Face, HTTPS mirrors, LAN peers, and worldwide Iroh peers resolve to one verified blob, with automatic source failover.
Identical files across quants, mirrors, and sources are held once in a content-addressed cache. Installs use reflinks or hardlinks.
A low-memory desktop app for macOS, Windows, and Linux, with a cross-platform command line for automated workflows.
The network
Peers announce the content they hold to a shared tracker. Transfers run over Iroh, a QUIC transport designed to connect machines directly across NAT boundaries. When you choose to share, completed downloads help keep open models available to everyone.
